Apologies for cross posting.<\/p>\n

The State University of Rio de Janeiro and the Institute for Brazilian
\nMarine Biodiversity will be hosting the Tenth International Seagrass
\nBiology Workshop from 25-30 November 2012 at the Pontal da Ferradura
\nConvention Centre in B\u00fazios, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

With the emphasis on providing an agreeable and comfortable environment to
\ntalk serious seagrass science the workshop will be organized into:<\/p>\n

Plenary lectures from invited speakers<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oral and poster presentations addressing specific topics within major themes<\/p>\n

Half-day study groups, which will consist of multi-disciplinary team
\nactivities focused on cutting-edge global and regional issues in seagrass
\nresearch, methods, conservation, reviews and habitat health<\/p>\n

Fieldtrip to local seagrass habitats<\/strong><\/p>\n

Organizers will invite a select group of speakers and devise creative ways
\nto facilitate discussion. During interactive themed sessions and study
\ngroups we will encourage participants to go beyond one-way communication.<\/p>\n

The Workshop will open on 25th November with an evening reception at the
\nPontal da Ferradura Convention Centre in B\u00fazios. The event will close on
\nthe evening of 29th November with a final reception.<\/p>\n

The International Seagrass Biology Workshops have been held since 1993 when
\nthe first meeting took place in Kominato, Japan. The International Seagrass
\nBiology Workshop (ISBW) is an official activity of the World Seagrass
\nAssociation Inc.<\/p>\n
